Stickers are everywhere. Whether you want to convey your message through a picture or you want to post something funny on Social Media, you can embed Stickers to do the job. Stickers have been around for many years, but what’s different now is that you can create custom stickers of your choice. If you own a Samsung Galaxy phone, creating a custom sticker is even easier.
Quick Summary

- It works on One UI 5 or newer version.
- Custom Stickers can only be used in Gallery.
- Some apps like WhatsApp also allow creating custom stickers.
Samsung has been improving its custom OS, One UI, since the launch. One UI 6 is the latest iteration which is loaded with so many features that everyone may not know of all its features. Today we will be talking about the custom stickers feature that is possible on Galaxy phones running One UI 5 or later.
Samsung allows its users to create custom stickers from Images. This means you can turn any meme, or even someone’s photo into a sticker. Don’t know how? Follow this guide.
Create Custom Stickers on Samsung Phones
Step 1: First, make sure your device is running One UI 5 or a newer version.
Step 2: Open the Gallery app on your Samsung phone. Choose a photo where you want to add a custom Sticker or a photo you want to convert into a Sticker. Once the photo is in view mode tap the Edit/Pencil icon.

Step 3: Next, tap the Sticker with the pencil icon followed by Stickers.
Step 4: Here tap the Gallery icon that is folded a little and then click on the Create Sticker button. You will see the + button if you already created a sticker before.

Step 5: Now choose the picture that you want to convert into a Sticker and then draw around a subject you want to save in the sticker. You can also double-tap on the object. Once you draw, it will automatically adjust to the shape of the object. You can use the Deselect option to remove unwanted parts of the subject.
Step 6: Tap the Next button to move forward. Here you can add colors, and draw as per your preference. If all looks good, tap the Done button.
Step 7: It will ask you to add the recently created sticker to the Image you opened first. If you want to add the sticker in the image that’s great, but if not, you can tap the Revert option. Don’t worry Sticker is already saved in your library.
How to Access Custom Stickers
Although you can create Stickers using the above method, you won’t be able to use them outside the Gallery app. This means you can only add the sticker to Images in the Gallery App. You won’t be able to use these stickers in Social Media apps. Thankfully, apps like WhatsApp also allow creating custom stickers. To use custom stickers in the Gallery app, you can follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Gallery app and then open the image where you want to add a custom Sticker.
Step 2: Go to Edit > Sticker icon > Stickers.

Step 3: It will show the stickers you created. Tap the sticker you want to Add.
Step 4: You can rotate, replace, and resize the Sticker within the photo.
Step 5: Once done, tap the Save button.
In Samsung Galaxy phones, users can also save objects in a separate image with black background. Since the result has background color, these images can not be considered stickers. But if you want to send only the object in Social Media apps or other platform, this feature could be useful. All you need is tap and hold on the object and then select Save as Image.
